Any aftermarket options for replacement 2008 IS 350 stereo/nav/climate unit?
On a very cold day this winter, the touch screen for my infotainment unit stopped working. I took it in for service at a nearby dealership and they're telling me it needs to be completely replaced. Will cost me something like $1500. It's already obsolete though because my system can't play music through Bluetooth, can't get decent updates, etc.
I would like to get an aftermarket head unit by Pioneer or something, but don't know if there is anything out there that can integrate with my car's climate control system, navigation, etcetera. Are there any products out there than can integrate with my Lexus's climate control system at least? I never use the nav system anyway.

Depending on how you want to tackle it, you can use the circuitwriter to repair the traces or just replace the digitizer.

Have you considered the Scosche dash kit? It seems like it includes full climate controls and allows you to install your own aftermarket head unit. Might be just what you need if it is still available.
It looks like Crutchfield has them in stock: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-I9wKyR...Kit-Black.html
I'm not sure of the compatibility with your specific model and factory stereo, but I'll bet Crutchfield support would be able to tell you immediately.
If you do get this, please let us all know how the installation goes.

Crutchfield has a "will it fit" tool on their site. I plugged in the original poster's car, a 2008 IS350 with navigation, and it says that it doesn't fit. Changed it to 2008 IS350 without navigation, and it says that it does.
Not surprising, as the non-navigation car already has discrete button to control the HVAC, while the navigation one uses the touchscreen.
