New here at Club Lexus and just recently obtained a 2010 IS250C, switching over from a 2010 V6 mustang convertible. I was wondering if it is possible to somehow install an amplifier and a 12 inch sub in the trunk without sacrificing the hardtop capability(when the hardtop retracts the majority of the trunk is sacrificed) Has anyone installed an aftermarket stereo system with a Subwoofer in their convertible? Any tips and advice would be great! Thanks!

You'll have a better shot at an answer inside the ISC forum. But I know that there are enclosures that fit in the side of the trunk but may be limited to a ten inch woofer.

Do you think one of these pre-fab enclosures would work in a convertible trunk?

Yes, it's possible. But you'll have to find 2 subs that require small enough enclosure to fit the space you have.

What kind of music do you normally listen to? A quality 10" sub in a matching enclosure with a good amp will work great for all music types.

Hey gville,

i like listening to modern hip hop and rap songs that require a good amount of bass. I had a 12 inch ported sub in the trunk of my previous car but it was a soft top and not a hardtop so I know I have to get a much smaller enclosure. If anyone can find any enclosures small enough please link!
