Question about everyone elses stereo volume
So I am the proud owner of a 2010 IS 250 that i got for school. Black on black with as far as i know every option possible. What i was wondering if the radio volume was low for anyone else? Im not saying i have it on max all the time but going down the highway and having to put it on 55- max and still wanting it to go higher. And for regular city driving having it on 40-50? Is it like this for every car? I know I dont have hearing issues because in all my previous cars ive never had to have the volume that loud, ever.

Quite possibly... I don't use the radio but I max out the output on my LG G5 connected through the aux cord and I'm still at about 45 for a good cabin filling sound for my preference

I just purchase BeatsCable Red Aux for our car because it has the L shape for the center cosol compartment plug so it wont be sticking up and it has (gold) tips which some people say has higher quality sound(unsure if its true, cant tell). Don't listen to radio as well but when plug into my iPhone playing my mp3 its usally 20-35 casually , 40 is like max For me. Having a muffler delete kinda makes me raise the volume a little but thats about it.

If you're using USB, the iPhone sound is overriden by the headunit (as mentioned above). If you're on AUX, you can control the volume from both the HU and your phone. In both my IS (aux only) and RX (usb/aux/BT), I find having to sit it on 30-40 to get the right spot. The IS isn't exactly the quietest car on the road though, so sometimes it gets bumped up to 43-45 depending on the material. Was the same way with my 07 Camry, having to sit it at 40, probably just a Toyota/Lexus thing really.
Do you have the Mark Levinson option?

Mine usually sits at around 25-30 with AUX, I go into the 40 range with my windows down. Also take into consideration the quality of the music you are playing, I use Spotify to listen to most of my music and in Extreme quality it's significantly louder then in normal quality.

I have it on 13 - 35 on my ML... 13-20 for AUX / Radio / CD and 20 - 35 for DVDs...

I use my auxiliary a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the auxiliary and listen to both of them comfortably at 42-45 but I have gone as far as 50 if my sunroof is open. I don't think it's weird but it is a lot higher than my old radio... I noticed that too.

I didn't realize how good of a stereo system these cars have until after I purchased it. I swear it sounds so much better than my other car with actual subwoofers.
