Can you get your defective headlights back?

When you get your LED headlights replaced from lexus due to the bubble defect, are you able to get your old defected headlights back? Or do they send them in?

I've never heard of someone being able to keep theirs. Perhaps if some money was involved they might consider it.

you can't keep the old headlights because they tag them and send them back to Lexus to either figure out why its defective than the dealer gets paid for the work and parts
