2007 Lexus IS 250 AWD Radiator Cooling Fan Switch Relay Location
Hey guys I noticed this past weekend while sitting in traffic with the AC on high and idling, that my temp climbed way up. I turned off the AC and it started to slowly go back down.
After researching I see the 2 electric fans in front of the radiator do not spin at all. My first thing is to location where the switch fan relay is located? Any fuses? Etc.
Where would you guys start and does anyone have a wiring diagram for the vehicle.
Thanks so much.

There are two 40A fuses for the fans (FAN1 and FAN2), they are both in the relay block near the battery in the larger fusible link block. FAN1 is used for both fans in low-speed mode and for the RH fan in high-speed mode. FAN2 is only used for the LH fan when in high-speed mode. There are three relays for the fans, they are all in the fuse box near the LH headlight.
The engine ECU controls the fan operation via 3 relays (2x SPST relays (Fan Relay No.1 and No.3) and 1x SPDT relay, Fan Relay No.2). When terminal FAN on the ECU is grounded, it energizes relay No.3, providing power to both fans (+12V through relay No.3 to RH fan, then through relay No.2 to LH fan to ground - fans running in series). In order to switch to high-speed operation, the ECU further grounds terminal FAN2 which energizes relays No.1 and No.2, moving the fans to their own +12V sources (relay No.2 switches to ground for the RH fan and relay No.1 supplies direct +12V to the LH fan).

Jeff- here is what I have done. I found the 3 relays on the fuse box on the drivers side under the hood. I pulled them while the car was running and #2 #3 made the sound of the fan turn off.
#1 when I pulled did nothing at all. Also it's weird because I could hear the sound, but neither fan was turning at all. So not sure is relay #1provides power for them to turn.
In the below pictures are the fuse box next to the battery u mentioned. As u can see when I flip over the box it shows those 40amp fan fuses, but there are no fuses I can see in that whole row with the clear plastic color?
It does say GWR fan #1 but says Diesel under it so not sure it's for my car.
Is there a radiator switch or some switch that maybe isn't not working? Or any fuses anywhere I can check?
