Default RWD/AWD and IS250/350

So I have a 2008 IS250 RWD with optional OEM 18" inch rims (staggered).

Just wondering if these wheels would fit all IS350 models with AWD. I'm thinking they would fit. My only concern were clearance issues but I think I'm good right?

And from what I understand the AWD cars sit just a bit higher

3rd Gen IS AWD's come factory staggered. 225's in front and 255 out back. It's more of a rolling diameter difference that you need to stay away from. Width doesn't matter as much.

Although generally speaking, you are correct. I run 235's all around on my 05 LGT.

The wheels will fit, but do not use the 2IS RWD tire sizes.

Why? Too big?

Mine are 225/40/18 and 255 in the rear

Too much of a diameter difference. AWD cars need the same diameter rolling stock front and rear.

The problem is that the sizes are not equivalent in diameter, the 255/40 rear is 1 inch taller than the 225/40 front and this would cause problems with the awd transfer case.

The difference in diameter between front and rear is too much using the RWD 2IS sizes (225/40R18 and 255/40R18). What you need to use is 225/40R18 and 255/35R18 rear.

I swapped my 255 for a 265 on the rear (10' IS350 with 18" lobster claws - RWD) and it gives it even more of a lift in the rear

Gives the car a nice high back to the low front

Soon to be 225/35/19 and 275/30/19 though

When I had my 08 IS250 AWD i stayed away from staggered - ran a 235/35/19 all around and it drove real nice (8.5" wide rim)
