Hello, im new here. I recently got my headlights replaced and i was wondering about a small black box that my mechanic took out since he said i don't need it. I want to know what it is . I found a picture on google but i searched with no luck. Hopefully you guys can help me .thank yo



There is the small black box in blue circle. Dont mind the red arrows

Thank you whitebeast. Well today i ran into another problem. I was cleaning the throttle body and i moved the plate now my car idles goes up and down. Idk what to do

I remember when I was installing my intake heat shield I was going to remove this. Once I started to loosen the bolts I could hear and feel a lil static discharge so I quickly tightened it back down and chugged my beer lol. I never found out what it is but I'm sure you need it. Caption in ur picture top corner makes sense to me since I have HIDs and it is right buy the housing.

My '06 2IS came from the factory with HIDs; that black box was not part of the vehicle's lighting systems.
