Default Bc Coilovers.. how does dampening work?

Okay so im probably gonna have my Coils installed today or if not maybe this Friday the latest. My question is regarding the dampening settings.

If i have my coils installed with lets say an example of 20 clicks to stiff up front and 20 clicks out back, will I be able to change the setting easily afterwards if i dont like it??

Or would this require removing the coilovers all over again? Im pretty confused on how this works at the moment as I have never had Coilovers on a car before. Lol

Thanks everyone .

Also, i have the standard 10k/8k spring rates. What would be idle for dropping my car to have Zero wheel gap (or less lol) and not hitting the ground when i go over bumps? Or is this not possible with these springs??

No, you don't have to remove the coils again to adjust the dampening. Front adjustments are super easy to get to as it's visible when you open the hood. Rears however, to easily access the adjustment, you would need extenders through the trunk liner or you could set it to your liking before reassembling.

The damping can be adjusted from the top of the coilovers. The fronts are accessible from the engine bay, and the rears are adjustable from the trunk.

If you don't have those rear extenders yet def order a set. Adjusting both is just a twist of the ***. Been waiting for some pics of the install

There is no need for those extenders and cut holes. Trunk liner pulls off very easy from the top corner and you can adjust the dampening.

Thats what i was noticing today when looking at how to install these... the dampener should be right under that trunk liner right? Which means i dont need to buy extenders?

damn did not know they made these. when I installed my coils, I just set them to the stiffest setting cause I knew I was going to want to go lower and lower.
this is probably the way easier option though...

I love my BC extended ***** in the rear! Everyone I've ever shown them too was like, NICE...and how does that work? LOL!

BTW, you'll find out that you'll want the rears to have a softer dampening to hook up off the line.

What are your settings if you dont mind me asking Gville350? I was recommened to just go close to max stiff by a friend (since i will going quite low lol) but i definitely dont wanna lose my ability to hook up off the line either :/

Well it's not necessary but it's convenient to have. Every time I want to adjust it have to remove the center portion of the liner and the 2 metal loops just to peel back the sides far enough to see the tops. Kinda regret not getting them with the "free" extenders sale.

Since it's now getting cold here in SC, I've lowered everything. Now 18 clicks up from full soft up front and 15 in the rear. In summer time weather, I've ran 22 up front and 18 in the rear. I'm running 12k up front and 8k in the rear. No longer slammed...but definitely LOW. Running 19s.

Cool thanks for the info. I just installed them today and lowered the car to a 2 finger gap up front and no gap (slight tire tuck) in the rear. I also had them set the coils to 18 (towards stiff) for both the front and rear and decided i didnt like it.

So now i set the front to 24/30 clicks to stiff and the rear to 20/30 to stiff and i LOVE the way it feels now.
