P/S Locked
Hello, all.
I have an 07 IS250 AWD and have been driving it with all of the check VSC, engine, battery, etc lights on as its common for most IS owners on here for about several months now..
Anyways, I was headed home from work and as I was driving, i noticed the navigation went out. All of a sudden I was about to make a left turn and I saw on the dash "Check 4WD" along with all of the other lights that have already been there. This is my first time seeing this "Check 4WD" and then my power steering locked up as I Was making a left turn.. but I quickly managed to turn extra hard... and was able to make it for a bit. Almost caused an accident
I parked the car, tried to start the vehicle again, but it would make rapid clicking noises. (all lights etc are on).
Came out again this morning, the car started normally with all the normal dash error lights but power steering was locked. So i decided to check it out later and took my other car to work.
Any suggestions or recalls on these dash lights / power steering? Thanks in advance.

From the symptoms you describe, my guess is that you have a bad alternator.

It's your alternator; exact same thing happened to me...minus the 4WD warning.
If your battery is 4yrs old or older, go ahead and replace it as well; a bad alternator can cause a decent battery to go bad quickly. Luckily when mine went, I had a 4-month old battery. Took the battery to the battery store I purchased it from and had them trickle charge it all day. Grabbed it on the way home, and all was good with it.
AutoZone reman ALT with lifetime warranty was $160 + core for me here in SC.

I beg to differ that having all those lights on is common for most IS owners. The vast majority of people here would respond to any of those warning lights by either reading the codes and repairing their car, or by bringing it to a shop to do so.
