Default 2012 IS250 F Sport with Factory Tokico??

Hey All - I recently just purchased an 2012 IS250 F Sport CPO from the Lexus Dealer- Upon going under the car I noticed the Strut/springs is black and say Tokico?? is that right? I thought the F Sport comes with the Factory F Sport Blue color springs and strut is from Bilstein. Can someone confirm this?

No, the fsport comes with Tokico sport struts. The fsport shocks are a completly different accessory. Non fsport or non sport models comes with regular struts which are not as stiff as the sport but I believe they are made by tokico as well.

I believe your f-sport package is cosmetics only.. front bumper, wheels, steering wheel and badging? Actual f-sport accessories like the blue Springs and bilstein struts, blue sway bars, sub frame brace, intake and exhaust are all sold separately. I've always found their f-sport "package" as mis-leading.

So the F Sport is just Tokico struts and the Springs is the same as the non F sport model? Or is the Spring Tokico as well? I guess my real question is does the F Sport factory package lowered slightly than the reg IS250 model or is it just stiffer?

The F Sport factory package is cosmetic as well as a few suspension tweaks.

4:03 for an explanation of the F Sport factory package and 6:54 explains the F Sport accessories.

Slightly lower stance, few tenths of an inch.

^^good to know. Sounds like they replaced the sport package with just f-sport package?

Back in 08 my 350 had sport package with different struts from the base model. F-sport wasn't a trim then.

Yup, pretty much is the new sport package model to differentiate from the base model.

There is the non-sport suspension, then the sport suspension and then the F-Sport accessory parts. The F-Sport package used the sport suspension, which is different shocks, springs and sway bars, but not the same as the F-Sport accessory parts. The F-Sport model IS250 also came with larger, vented rear brakes. The power steering ECU is also different.

So the F Sport Package also has an upgraded sway bar that is different from the IS base model? Slighly larger but smaller than the F Sport Accessory. I got to look at my back brakes later to confirm if it's vented

I also thought the only difference between the F-Sport package and the normal configuration in terms of suspension are the sport package shocks and springs, as well as "stiffened" steering response. Had no idea the sways or the rear brakes were any different. I gotta check that out to verify as well..
