Default No sound from front door speakers

Hey guys,

So i'm having an issue where I am not getting any sound from the larger speaker on the front doors (both doors)

The car has the Mark Levinson sound system.

The tweeters work, just not the larger speaker near the corner.

So far I have replaced the amp- no change
I have replaced the entire navigation, stereo unit from the dash- no change
I've taken the door apart and made sure the speakers are connected- no change
The speakers seem to be in good physical condition.

I'm out of ideas of what to do. Any suggestions?

To follow up, I ended up replacing the both large front woofers because the factory ML speakers were completely dead, I also replaced the center dash speaker, the sub woofer, and the 2 large woofers in the rear doors. I don't understand what would cause these speakers to deteriorate after only a few years. Poor build quality probably.

After years of seeing posts/threads about the ML systems and their troubles, for whatever reason they just tend to "let go" more often than the non-ML system. Still rocking out on my non-ML system with no issues EVER to mention.

My guess..frayed wires maybe? Had this happened to my Audi Bose system. I pulled away the door jamb boot to reveal the wires leading into the door, and sure enough after years of closing/opening the door, wires got frayed and lost connection.

Sorry to revive such an old thread, but my passenger front and rear are doing the same thing. What speakers did you replace them with and how have they held up??
