Smile Heater causing Engine Light to show

Hello,

I just wondered if you have ever came across the following situation in regards to an Lexus IS 250, 2006 model. Car has a full Lexus Service History.

Today, the car would not start when the heater was on the engine light would display and car will not rev, however when the heater is turned off (entire system, air con off) the car starts and drives absolutely fine, naturally this is an issue as the windscreen etc will steam up a lot. The car has done 79k miles, and had its major at 60k, and a minor at 70k. Is there any particular reason as why to this is happening, any experience?

Just to add, the road side assistance guy could not find any errors on the machine, and it seems it is just the heater causing issues / fault when on alongside engine. - Otherwise, car drives perfect. - No errors on the dash either, check completed everytime.

Kind regards

Now that is the first I've read about such an issue. Do you have a diesel motor in yours?
