BC Racing Coilover Type
Hi, I picked up a set of BC Racing Coilovers for the IS. I've read there is a rubber mount and pillow mount version. Is there any way to differentiate visually?

One will be a standard rubber mount and one is a spherical ball in the middle of the mount. I have the same coils on my IS. Expect them to last a year to a year and a half depending on your roads and driving.

I actually didn't buy them new, so I didn't actually specify pillow or rubber. Heres a picture of the actual set I got. They look to be rubber mount to me?

Isn't that a pretty short lifespan? I mean my OEM shocks lasted more than 3 or 4 years.

I ask because in this thread:

One of the fixes for a squeaking noise is to tighten the four allens for the pillow ball mount. I don't see four allens, so I assume its not a pillowball mount?

I'm assuming the pillow ball is on the right, with the spring not directly against the top plate. There looks like what would be the four allens for the pillow ball.
The rubber mount is on the left with the spring sitting against the top plate. This is what I have.
