Need info on buying awd is250
I want to buy a is250 awd, this is a 2008 with 97k miles awd, clear title, was certified but only been to the dealer 3 times for service. Is there anything to look out for with this year car? Or will it be rock solid reliable like my is300 was? Also how good is it in snow? I live on a big paved hill.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have a 2008 IS250awd I bought brand new. It has 83,000 miles on it now. The only repair I had to do so far was the water pump. I live on a steep hill and when it snows (fortunately not often) it goes up it fantastically with just all season tires. Overall it has been a great car that averages 25.5 mpg on my weekly 50 mile round trip commute. With that being said Carbon buildup idling is one issue to look for. Do a search and you will find 100 page thread about it.

You should be good if the price is rite. My wife has 08 250awd and it has 105k on it. No major issue not even carbon build up. But we only pump shell Vpower maybe that helps. Other than that regular maintenance has been done. We replace the rotor and rear caliper cause they seized. But there great in the snow with all season tires. But if you can get snow tire you'll get better traction. From all season to snow tires the wife feel better driving in storms.
