I did a bit of searching, and I can't seem to find the answer.

My friend has an 06 is250, and she has illuminated door sills. I believe she bought the car with them on. She has been wanting to upgrade all of her interior lighting to LEDs, and changing her illuminated door sills from dark blue, to pink. I've been able to find out what all of the other bulbs are by watching a youtube how-to video on replacing them. But I can't seem to find any answers on what bulb the door sills take. She lives 4 hours north of me, so I can't just run over to her house and look, and she's afraid of taking the door sills off and braking them.

I'm hoping that they use regular removable bulbs. If they do, I can order some pink LEDs for them. Otherwise i'll have to look into more difficult options.

Does anyone know what bulb they take?



Also, she currently has red lenses on her door courtesy lights. I've been told that the Lexus GS of this era came with clear lenses, and they are a direct replacement. Does anyone know where I can get a REASONABLY priced pair? I'm not looking to spend $60+ on two small pieces of plastic. A used set would be fine as well.

EBay for the clear courtesy lights. Should cost you $30 or less.


As for the sills I don't think its a straight forward bulb swap. Most likely LEDs that are soldered in. However I've never taken one apart so maybe another member can confirm.
