Default Plasti dip versus vinyl tape on window chrome trim?

After reading the pros and cons on CL the consensus seems to vinyl, everybody thinks plasti dip looks cheap but I wanted to go the plasti dip route, helpful hints from people that done it without it looking cheap? I tried using Blackout tape but was never satisfied on the application ( bubbles, curvature , overlap) thanks for taking the time to help

Plasti Dip is the fastest way just one word of advise.....prep your butt off it will help you out when you get ready to peel and remove the plasti dip.

A fellow member did a comparison of the two options on his IS. Link to his thread is below:

IMO vinyl is the way to go

I agree, and it'll be faster and cheaper.
Ive been dipping full cars and little stuff here and there like wheels, moldings, emblems etc. and prepping good is a must.
TIP:You just have to make sure you start off with at least 2 light coats at the beginning and then work your way into putting heavier-slower coats. Dont have the can too far away because then youll get rough texture and it will look "cheap" because its not smooth.
its kind of hard to explain on here, go youtube on how to do it on the DipYourCar channel

hope this helps
