Default Please advise

I just got my 08 250 a couple months ago. So far, I have put a new rear bumper on it because somebody hit me, new compressor and condenser because the AC didn't work, new tires and an oil change. Well today I was parked behind a buddy and he needed to leave. There are only two people in my fraternity house I would trust my keys with and he is one of them. Well long story short he missed the reverse lockout and went into first. When he started rolling forward he gave it a little more gas and dropped the clutch. Now I know it would be cheaper to get a new hood due to Lexus prices and the amount of work needed. Also, due to the hole in the front bumper I assume it would be cheaper for a new one. The question is, who is at fault. He feels as though he is an gave me his insurance card. But should I have given him my keys is the question. Don't tell me I am a dumbass for giving him my keys or parking behind him. We all park behind each other and move our cars around all the time. I am looking to see if I am going to end up paying for a bumper and hood or half or none. Any help is appreciated.

See if your friend is willing to repair the damage. If he can't, his insurance will help cover.....that is if he has full coverage.

since it was in a driveway and no other cars got hurt it (as well as you were the driver) it will be a no fault so you can use your insurance and just have your friend pay the deductible. I am not sure if you can use his insurance since your car is not on his insurance policy. IDK how it works using the later method so you would have to call the insurance company and find out

This. Have insurance take care of it.

If you have a clean record, I would go with insurance since it won't raise due to good driving and have him pay the deductible. If not, aim gain is always nice.

+1 with having your friend pay your insurance deductible.
