07 bumper suggestions
Hey everyone,
a relative of mine backed up into my car and scraped my front bumper I am pretty **** about my car and want to find the best way to fix it. I have called body shops and to respray it, they want to charge 6-800 dollars. I saw on Sewell that a painted bumper was 510, 650 with shipping.
So i thought that it would probably be better to buy the bumper and replace it. I have 2 questions. other than the bumper should i buy any hardware that i will need to replace it?
2nd question is could i get a newer style bumper for the same price? Will they bolt right on?
thanks for your help in advance

if you're going to get the same bumper to replace the damage one, you can transfer all the hardware from the old bumper to the new one.
if you're upgrading, you have to paid more which they will included all the hardware you need for the new bumper.
yes, the upgrade bumper will bolt right on.

to make the bumper more aggressive, you can just buy a lip kit. It will make that bumper more aggressive, doesn't matter if it's the old or the new bumper.

$600 to respray just the bumper? Really? My local body shop charged me $120. But i saved him all the hard work and removed the bumper my self before I sent it to the body shop, and just did the re-install my self. Pretty easy.
How big was that scratch?

the scrape was about six inches by 4 and had grooves. It would have to have been sanded down, then bondo, then resprayed. i was told it would cost 700 to repair at my local body shop.
