HELP DECIDE: 2007 IS 350 or 2011 IS 350 -- both with 49k miles
Need help deciding between the following:
2007 IS 350 -- $20,500
or
2011 IS 350 -- $26,700
-----------
BOTH have 49,000 miles
Black w/ tan interior
Navigation
------
Assuming both are in excellent condition w/ proper maintenance, no accident history, and neither is certified, are there any pros and cons you guys can point out that would lean you one way or another?
Is the price difference worth the difference in year models?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I don't think you could go wrong either way - both of those are great prices.
I'd look more at which one has dealer maintained records - and which one is in better shape - and how responsible each owner seems.
The 2011 still has warranty (well, 1K miles lol). The 2007 doesn't.

I would get the 2011, that's a pretty good price. However, with 1K miles left on the warranty, you should do your research about common problems with the IS and get anything fixed before your warranty ends. I bought my IS350 too with 49,270 miles but didn't know anything about it. Turns out after my warranty ended, there were many minor things I could have gotten fixed like dash rattles, etc, just little things.

I personally would go with a 2007 because its practically the same car, not much has changed besides a few cosmetic things here and there. the 2011 is newer which is also really nice, makes the car feel less outdated. but 6 grand difference for the same car, same everything, i would go with the cheaper

That's a tough one, that's a very good price for the 2011, but then again if u can get the price down a little more on the 2007 I think u can save ur self abiut 8k. And like people have ssid, not a big difference between the two although I do like the blinkers on the side mirrors on the 2010+ models, makes the car look a little bit more modern. But I woukd go for 2007 if u can get the price down by another $1000.

I agree with all the above feedback! If money is no issue then go with the 2011. If you would like to get extended warranty then go with the 2011. Personally I would go with the 2007 and save a log of money. They are practically the same car. I was in a similar situation and ended up getting a high mileage 2006 for $15K with all the bells & whistles.
Good luck with the purchase.

Guys if money is not an issue he would be driving a Ferrari. If money is not an issue he wouldn't even be asking he would just go for 2011 or better yet 2014. In my opinion save urself some money and go for 2007 as long as it's been maintained. Good luck
