Good idea to buy a 2007 IS 250 at 91k miles?
Hello,
Is buying a 2007 Lexus IS 250 at 91K miles a good idea, it is priced at 15.5k and from a dealer? I am only looking to use the car for about 12 - 18 months, sell it and buy a year old car later. So am looking at resale value and reliability.
I put a maximum of 500-600 miles a month, mostly highway. Please advice.
Carfax report is clean with no accidents, Autocheck gave a score of 95

Appreciate your Help.
Thanks

^^ Guys could you please give some reasons why you think its a good deal, its not the model/year - Price I am worried about, a car having a 90k miles and lasting for another 2 years without issues. First time I have to buy a car on my own, so apprehensive a little.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

You should have no issues! I bought my 07 a year ago with 105k on the clock and I have enjoyed every moment with my car. I track the car, do canyon runs every week and drive my car aggressively everyday. I'm at 148k miles now and yeah I've had the notorious engine rebuild done but other than that it has been great!

I won't be driving that aggressively, but I go up into mountains quite a bit.

Havent owned my IS as long as some here but i cant say enough good things about toyota/lexus quality and longevity in general compared to many cars ive owned. If the car your considering was maintained well then 90k miles is just getting warmed up. I have 340k on my 96 4Runner and have had no major problems. Id fully expect a car with 10 yrs newer technology to go at least that far, so id say youll be good for 2 years. Good luck!

Check to see if the axles: 1:.Are leaking grease and/or 2. Have been replaced.
If they are leaking they cost $2,700 to replace at a dealer, and about $1,900 if done at in independent shop.
This is a common problem in the AWDs.
My 2010 IS 250 AWD has 91k miles on it and I have had no problems except those damn axles at 74k miles.
