IS250 VVT Recall
I checked the Lexus recall website and saw the recall. I had this issue prior and brought it in for servicing a few months back but they couldn't duplicate the problem. Now on September, an actual notice for this problem was issued BUT it's only listed on for the IS350 and Convertible.
Has anyone done this with the IS250? I've checked previous threads in regards to recalls but only noticed IS350's going into the mix. Does one have to have the official letter to go into a service center to get this replaced?

Went into Lexus and was told its a $2500 bill but Corporate was contacted and they would eat $1500. I called corporate to dispute the diagnostic charges by the dealer because 1. I asked what I would be charged for and I was told nothing. 2. I showed them a video of the noise my car was making, and the service manager diagnosed it on the spot.
Call corporate guys and start complaining that the IS 350 and convertibles get the recall/tsb but we IS 250 owners get the shaft and let's be honest.... We are more abundant than 350 owners. I also see it this way... Your engineers made a car with a flaw and now you want your customers, that purchased what they thought was a reliabke car, to pay out of pocket for a poorly made part.
