2010 door panels in a 2007
In July I picked up an '07 IS250 at a local dealership (Sterling McCall in Houston). After a few days of driving, I noticed dust on the dash that I couldn't seem to wipe off because the dash was sticky like glue. Turns out that the dash was faulty and I ended up paying to have it replaced. I notice that the doors panels aren't sticky, but the top section is starting to disintegrate.
I found a reasonably priced set from a 2010 on ebay but I don't know how to find out if they'll fit. Also, does from some searching it appears this was a known issue by Toyota/Lexus. Was it fixed by 2010 or am I taking my chances with a secondhand set of door panels?

The newer model door panels are supposed to be improved, so the 2010 should not develop the same problem. The panels are all the same fitment except for the driver front, which has a different control switch for the pwr windows and locks. The best solution would be if a 2010 switch can plug into the old harness, but I do not know if thats possible... Hopefully someone else knows the answer to that. Good luck

The 2010 door panel fit perfectly. I was quite proud of myself until the wife pointed out that the color was different from the original. Sure enough, the original was light gray at the bottom, light gray in the middle, and black at the top. The 2010 is light gray at the bottom, black in the middle (with light gray stitching) and black at the top. No worries though, she actually prefers the 2010 color scheme, so now I just have to match it on the driver's side.
Is there an interior color chart that references part numbers some where?
Also, does anybody know if the 2010 switch will plug in to the 2007 harness?
Thanks.

I don't think the 2010 switch will plug into the 2007 harness. Will the 2007 control switch not fit into the new panel opening? Could it be modified to fit? I was looking into getting 2010 front panels for my 2006, because of the deterioration issues.

I would agree with you that I don't think the harnesses are interchangeable. The switch layouts are different between the model years. However, from the pictures I've seen it looks as though the size and shape of the trim that holds the switch are similar. Whether or not they're identical, I don't know. I guess I'll find out once I get a 2010 panel and try it.
