2008 Lexus Is 250 Front Brake Sliding Pin what kind of grease to put on?
hi guys i have 2008 Lexus IS 250, i need to change my front brake. I'll be the one will change it, dealer charging me $600. my question is what kind grease or lubricant that you can use on you're slide pin??? i ask a Las Vegas Lexus Dealership what kind of grease that i can put on, and this the one they give me Toyota Disk Brake Grease Part# 08887-80609.... i bought it $42... is these right one??? when i open it, there's a small paper, it say Disk Brake Caliper Grease... I've been calling back them and keep asking, they said it's ok to put it on. I've been searching here on Internet... i can't find anything that good, everything review is bad. what i read, if you put a wrong grease it would mess up you're rubber by the slide pin... if you have any suggest, please free to reply. thanks and God bless

They gave your a tube of white thick grease, works great especially in between the brake pad and mounting bracket, gets rid of the clunk when going from drive to reverse

so yesterday i did change my front rotors and brake. i have a little trouble i bought a Akebono ceramic front brake pad, the second shim on my original brake pad, it won't snap on my new Akebono brake pad, so what i did my "McGyver" thingi... i took out the shim on my Akebono brake pad came on it and took out my Toyota Brake pad shim, a little adjust on it, till i hear that snap. And wallah! it works! hope i did the right thing
FYI - Stop Tech Slotted Rotors and Akebono Ceramic Brake...
i have a little slight squeak when i drove slowly, but it's ok
Over All - I'm Satisfied! For now....
Thanks for all you're suggestion guys... God Bless you all!
