I was thinking about getting a strip to protect from scrapes, dumb? Will it hold up? Or any other suggestions..

Really depends on how you mount it and how much you can see...I honestly don't care too much if the underside of my lip gets scraped, cause if you can see the scrape then it isn't low enough

Unfortunately I cat go that low, I barely make it off my hill at stock, so I'm going with the fsport drop

It'll get so mangled and ugly after scraping it so many times and wind turbulence, you'll want to take it off. I remember it being more of a pain to take off, opposite to putting them on. When you put it on, at least it's still in one piece, but when you try to take it off, it'll be in separated in sections and the adhesive is really sticky.

I had Line X sprayed to protect the front lip. Took the idea from some of the guys in the Lotus forums. It doesn't make the lip heavier and you'll never see a scratch on it. I can hear it barely scrape from time to time, and it doesn't get scarred at all. Works like a champ!

I use it to protect my GFX. Looks pretty decent as a little valence and stops major scraping. Its held up pretty well for the couple months I've had it.

I got them. Depend on the color of your car it can add to the looks and it does make a difference. You won't regret it. As for fitment, the ends are hard to stick (i used superclue - no joke).
