Advice on paint - myride rear on obsidian
Hi guys,
i have an obsidian 2is. i've given this so much thought for few months already and still can't make up my mind.
myride rear looks so much better two toned, so i'd like your advice on how to paint it to stand out more. obviously all black is imo
should i:
1. middle section obsidian, outside another color (?)
2. middle section another color (?), outside obsidian
pls also state what color is your "another color"
any input will be greatly appreciated thanks!!
left one is my car:
not the best pic, but this the only pic i found. hope you get the picture

that's a great idea! noted
maybe this thread can give you some insight too
totally agree! def want to keep it clean!
another great idea! but can urethane be wrapped since it's kind of softer material?
matte black is not enough contrast imo
how about gunmetal? although i suppose it's kinda close to SGM

OP - that's the thing about obsidian/black, if your painting body panels with accents your pretty much limited with color choices that won't make your car look too tacky, or likes it's trying so hard to stand out. it's way easier to pull it off with lighter color cars and black accents. however i do remember seeing another member on here with a black 2IS with wald side skirts with the dip area painted a gun metal color, it looked pretty alright.
my suggestion is just to keep it all black and add on some S2K AP2 tips to pop it out even more. it'll still retain that aggressive look with a cleaner feel.
