Default First damage to the IS... Everyone is okay.

It was a bad week for me... I was ready to exit the shopping mall, but this beat up curb was in the way of my turn... I swear it was in the middle of no where. It was hit many times because you could see that the curb was very damaged.

Here's the damage...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I guess with every deasaster there's a benefit.

I'm getting a new bumper from Sewell.
I was thinking of getting this Vertex replica front lip from Nextmod.com. I know I heard some fairly good reviews and some not so much. Some worry about the fitment, so I guess I'm wishy washy on getting this as well.

(06-08, but the description says 09+ kind of confuse here , but I will give it the benefit of the doubt)
http://nextmod.com/webstore/index.ph...oduct_id=30766

So my questions are:

How's the fitment?
Is it primer ready to paint? (The discription Nextmod gives doesn't say much)
How's the installment? Quick and easy just like the OEM lip?

Thanks so much for your time.

sorry bout the damage.. judging from the pictures, I dont think a new bumper is necessary.. if I were you, I would use the funds for the bumper for a good lip kit.

whatever your decision is, good luck!

Yea you don't need a new bumper, a shop can fix that.
I hope your wheel is ok, can't really tell but it looks like maybe it hit the curb too

The next mod front lip doesn't come painted. I had one. Also fitment wise is wasn't PERFECT but any shop will make it look so.

This was when I had mine

Good luck

definitely no need for a new bumper, unless u wanna upgrade to the f sport bumper
but I cracked my front lip in half last year I fixed it and repainted it myself for less than $100, I say if u bought a lip and have a shop take care of that your bill would be roughly 400-500 max

From the looks of the pic, just a simple GFX lip will take care of the majority of your damage. Only leaving some touch up to the paint in the upper area.... Sucks that it happened, but you will likely glad after losing the stock front end look!

You don't even need to fix the front bumper. The lip will cover the scratch,

^ I would just so later on you goto resale, and part out you don't want to have to deal with explaining that to the next owner, they might assume something worst happened and she was just covering it up etc. I don't know maybe its just me but I am extremely **** about everything when I go to buy a car.

^ +1 hahah. I don't think you need a new bumper. If you upgrade to 2011 bumper.. You might be limited on front lip mods. I can't really do what I want because of my f sport bumper.

how about taking a picture of the curb and the damages on your vehicle and have the mall pay for the damages for failing to repair or repaint the curb so that its visible

I hate it when those curbs just come out of no where and hit you. LOL!

GL on the repairs/replacement.
