Has anyone had to replace it more than once ?
I was wondering how long their replacement water pump has lasted ?

Yes but those are on cars with internal water pumps. The is has a external pump so it has nothing to do with the timing belt.

Look around the water pump area, see if you have any pink fluid dried up our wet spots. Even sometimes it will spray it everywhere, what a mess

Default Who has had their water pump prematurely fail?

I’ve gotten curious and wanted to see just how many of us have had their water pumps prematurely fail. From my experience with cars I would say these pumps should last 80-100k miles before they are changed. However please post at approximately what mileage your pump failed and if Toyota fixed it no questions asked if you were still covered by the 70k miles power train warranty.

Mine failed at 53,000 miles it started with bad bearing noise, dealer replaced no questions asked.

Mine was ~ 75,000 and it was around $400 if I remember correctly or maybe that's with other repairs. Sorry it's been too long
