2007 IS 250 system setup help!!!
I found the only car specific sub enclosures for the is 250 on ebay from zenelectronics.com and custom box man..I was wandering if anyone had any experience with these boxes and could tell me if the amp is mountable to the box or where I would put the amp??
ALSO: I have two 12" type r's and 1200W hifonics brutus..would I need dynamat to prevent rattling?
and how is the bass with the stock stereo??
thanks

I have used zenclosures boxes in a few other cars I've owned and I can say that they are quality built and a perfect/true fit. and the carpet colors match too. I cant speak for the lexus box they have but I did email them and found the specs are true to size and description. but with a mounting depth of 9" I can say there is not a heck of a lot of room. my custom box i made is 8.5" deep and it is fairly close to the back wall. However if the box is wedge shaped then you stand a good chance to mount an amp.

what about system wiring
I had a system in my truck before this car and installation was easy, but I have seen a lot of rumors about people buying a audio processor called audiobit one or something...anyway I was wondering if that was even necessary..I dont want to blow the interior speaker is what I'm getting at......and it sucks that you cant install an aftermarket head unit in the car

I know the feeling. I have a double din I would love to use but it's not worth the hassle right now. if you are only putting in subwoofers then all you need is a line output coverter. Even the "best quality" ones are less then $50. To install I'm sure I remember seeing a DIY for our cars somewhere on this site. But essentially, pre-my complete audio system swap, when I just had subwoofers. I used the non-ML subwoofer wires that come OUT of the factory amp. Others have used the door speaker woofer wires. I chose mine because I wanted the lower bass frequencies to be picked up as opposed to the slightly more full range frequencies. Either way, using a Lineout put converter will give you what you need for RCA's for your subwoofer aftermarket amp. You don't acutally mess with anything else.

That double din setup is amazing..I bet it cost a ton..I love my lexus but Im upset that they dont make a dashkit or anything..
Anyway, I think I've got it all down after looking at the https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-pictures.html
but, Im confused about how to wire the speaker wire to the converter to the amp etc..
1) do I tap into stock radio speaker wire from back of stock head unit, or tap into wire going to door speakers
2) I do not have the ML so exclude that..not sure if I have a factory amp or not
I am new to the self installation so bare with me...
door wire-->line converter--->rcas to subs????
