Fix a IS 250 F sport rim
I hit a curb-very slowly-but it made a scratch about an inch an a half on my rim.. What is the best way to fix it or should I see if the dealship could? Any advice would be great!!

my dealer has a 3d party guy that fixes these types of things for 70 a wheel, i did it on the original 18s back in 2009 and they looked brand new. I would inquire with them you can prob work with the guy direct but i just had mine done same time as an oil change and got a loaner for the day.

I can speak from experience in this matter. I have the F-Sport wheels you can see in my sig below. The right front got a decent scuff mark on it that was through the finish and into metal. I had a local wheel guy work on it for me. It looks better but not great. The difficulty is matching the unique color of the wheel and the satin finish they have. In my case the repaired wheel is duller.
I am going to call the wheel repair guy today and discuss this with them. He was honest when he did it and stated that it would be difficult to match it 100%. I am hoping he will come back and try to do better.
If I asked my wife she would say she can't tell the difference because she could care less. I notice every detail so it still bugs me. Maybe I will get used to it or I will drop the $385 bucks ++ and get the damn thing replaced.
Also, when you get it repaired make sure to look at it in good light. I would suggest sunlight because that is when you will really notice the color and finish variations.
