just wanted to let you know those v-leds don't fit for your puddle lights. did a little research for you:

Page 1 of the led replacement thread states UPDATED on the top saying that those no longer fit because they changed the length of the board or something like that.
This also forced me to go ahead and purchase the 5 LED, peanuts from JLC which do fit! And they are prettttty bright.

I still haven't seen the JLC stuff in person, but judging by the design schematics I doubt they will be anywhere near as bright as V-LEDs. So it's up to you if grinding down a plastic tab is worth it for brighter puddles.

The CREE reverse lights with the mini projector look pretty slick. My only concern is that the "beam" of light emitted is concentrated, whereas for reverse lights you'd like the light dispersed so you can see the periphery better.
As for the puddle lights, I have yet to see anything brighter than V-LED's high power flank LEDs. Unfortunately, the new, larger design requires some minor modifications, but it's worth it if you want bright.

I just installed the CREE reverse bulbs and theyre BRIGHT. Ive only had the stock reverse bulbs and I can only compare the two, but they are dispersed and allow me to see at night with my 5% tint.
