Will prices go down on isx50's. Im planning on buying around June. Do you think the price will go down on 2006-08's.

These car's hold their value pretty well, but of course another year past is another year the car is older, so the price will drop slightly.
Don't expect a huge discount or anything tho.

Biggest price drop will come when the new body style comes out.... Probably at least a year away at the earliest if it comes out as a 2014 model. So if you can hang on 13-14 months instead of 6 months it may be better for you.

The only way they don't go down is if there is another tsunami. If you are financing, keep in mind many lenders are much stricter loaning on a car that is 5 years or older.* If monthly payment is a concern, buying a newer model car could be a better option for you.

*Consult your financil institution.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the latest is on the debate for the release date, but here is my source that says its going to be a 2014, debuting in 2013:

I don't think anyone took that story seriously even when it first came out- which was over a year ago now.

The next gen IS, from all indications, will be a 2013 model, out in 2012, and based on the new GS, having nothing whatsoever to do with the FT-86.

Not going to argue there... as I said, I'm not really up to date on the timing... Maybe it was wishful thinking that I would have the latest body style for an additional year

As an aside... According to my cuz who is Lexus salesman, the GS is hitting the dealership (here in Toronto) around Feb. I wonder when they will finally annouce the new IS if it is also coming as a 2013.

best times to buy cars is always fall season when they are desperately trying to clear their lots to bring in the newer models. 2006's prices should be under 20k. there are plenty now but high mileage and private sellers not dealership. I wouldn't buy a used car without warranty, but thats just me. Search around for a certified IS. You'll get 3 years or 100k miles warranty whichever comes first. Roadside assistance should your car break down they will send someone out and put u up in a hotel if needed. You'll always get a loaner when your car goes in for service, first oil change is free, free car washes as long as u own the car ( which I wouldnt use bc they run it through a machine) I hand wash mine weekly.
