If you get the Fly Audio I believe you'd be able to just plug and play.

I don't think you have to do any think different but I went from the stock radio non nav to the Fly Audio. I'd check with a vendor that sells the Fly Audio unit.

He posted a wiring diagram on the second page. Not sure if its any different with the non-ML system.

ok, i called lexus and ordered the j54 male connector, part number 11911 cost is 12 dollars, so i ordered 2 so i can make one for me and 1 for someone else (if needed in the future) because i hopefully finally figured out what exactly to do. i will be following the wiring diagram from the person who so gratiously posted it. what confused me was the light blue and orange wires that need to go into the new j54 male adaptor. after carefull review i believe i just have to remove them from the j51 pin 17 ,18 and into 1,2 of the new j54. fly unit arrives this friday! i will do the install and keep those who are interested informed. and p.s if someone can tell me how to insert images into this post , i will be able to give better detailed instructions for all who are wanting to do this

Please post I would be interested to find out incase I ever need to help some one do it.

Also if you want to post images you'll need to host them on Photobucket.com or some other type of hosting site.

well today i called someone who has done quite a few of these procedures( flyaudio in a factory nav car)
he was very willing to assist me with all my questions. all of my worries are gone as i am 110% confident that i will get it done. he says it will be a 30 min install once the old unit is out. so with that bieng said i will be stalking ups friday for the package. i hope the nav voice on the fly unit is not funny sounding.

(edit from moderator: for sale items go in the classifieds) from linus73(ok ill remember that)

Don't worry about the nav voice. You can run your navigation software of your choice. I'm running iGo and the female voices are fine!
