just wondering if this card can be used with 2008 IS250 in Australia? I know the key fob for US and Australia have different frequencies or something .... so i'm really interested if this will work as i've lost the other key fob and thinking of getting one made, which is going to cost $740 dollars apparently....shame....

so can anyone pls advise on this?. =)

While different countries do have different frequencies, I just looked it up and Australia does use the same keys as the USA.

I remember when my smart card made me feel good.

Then I got this:

I'm getting tired of modifying my car

Just got a reply from Sewell re the key fob for Australia models. They said the US key fob will not be compatible with US frequency IDs....so i'm really confused now....if this card uses the same technology as the key fob....

perth lexus (only one in western australia) is going to charge me $740 dollars for a replacement key fob and that adds up to $800 over dollars including GST.....what a joke!
