dealer claiming free 2 year ISX50 maintenance is a $1500 value?
My "wonderful" local Lexus dealer who adds $5000 to all MSRP's for chrome wheels and bumper appliques sent me an ad stating all new cars come with a free 2 year/24k mile maintenance plan... "a $1500 value" according to them. So since when do a few ISX50 oil/filter changes and inspections (standard maintenance) equate to $1500 in 2 years? Is this another one of their BS tactics? I'm on a role right now with the BBB. Got Kia Car Pros in trouble for false advertising. Nothing riffs me more than greedy companies who con innocent people.

I keep reading over the email and they don't actually say it's for the IS. They just claim free 2 year/24k service for any new vehicle purchase. So *maybe* the tab for an LS could equate to $1500? But even that seems unrealistic. None of these cars require much more than simple oil changes and inspections.

They're lying. Dealers do that. A lot.
Especially for 2011s that use synthetic, your maintenance for the first two years is:
2 oil changes.
One of which is already free from Lexus with vehicle purchase.
That's it.
So it's a $50 value.
$150 if you are silly enough to ask for the "x miles service" instead of just an oil change.

Alright, sounds like another scam. I'll report it to the BBB. I don't have time for these poor business practices in my own neighborhood.

What drives me on this is last time I was at this dealership, I overheard 30 minutes worth of a BS sales pitch to an old lady who was trying to buy a new ES. The salesguy was lying and twisting words so bad, the poor lady became extremely confused and lost in the sale. I had to walk away because I was going to open my mouth to the lady and probably get kicked out of the dealership. It was so sad how someone could take advantage of someone so badly and still have a conscious. And to think what I saw that day was probably a very small fraction of the what takes place there.
