Ebay Replica Shark Fin
Hello,
Do the shark fins antennas selling on ebay look identical to the OEM Lexus ones? I want to purchase one for my 2006 IS250 and just want to make sure it looked decent.

Thanks,
Kai

The shape looks ok, but the color is way off. You may need to throw some extra money to repaint it for perfect color match. It would cost the same as you buy the real OEM one with a match color.

is really hard to tell from the picture, most of the time when you see a picture on ebay and when you receive the actual product will look totally different.
I suggest you spend a little bit to purchase from Swells instead of Ebay.

The only problem with getting the one from Sewell as opposed to this one would be the Sewell one is the actual shark fin antenna and this one is a dummy shark fin antenna. With the actual shark fin you're gonna need to modify it because it has a large nub and a small nub sticking out the bottom that inserts directly into the roof that'll need to be sawed off. And then you'd need to buy some 3M tape to add to the bottom. The dummy one I'm sure is just flat with 3M tape already on it.
With the Sewell shark fin they paint it for you to closely match (not exact) your color. The dummy antenna is probably off in color, but you'll never know unless seeing it in person. You always have the option of just buying a spray can of your color from someplace like Paintscratch and painting it to match better.
But yes, that shark fin does look identical to the real one.
