Anyone know how to remove the license plates light assembly?

I've tried searching and found no real answer. I removed all the trunk lining and stuff to reach the housing and the two screws on it. However, it won't come off. I'm not wanting to replace the bulb, if any, but the whole assembly. Thanks!

you need to remove the trunk lid as well in order to remove the whole assembly
