Car Won't Turn On?

Car Won't Turn On?
So just recently my car decided that it wouldn't turn on, the key doesn't unlock the car, or even lock it, it doesn't make any noise, I tried jumping the battery with another car, still car won't turn on, when I press on the start/stop button it doesn't even do anything, but the car's lights do turn on....
What have I done recently to the car:
Installed HID lights.
Took it in for service, the dealer stated there was a "recall" again on the car, so they fixed the issue...
The car was perfectly fine after all of those things, I don't know why its acting like this, will I have to tow it to dealership?

my guess as to why the tow truck was able to jump-start your 2is but you weren't able to was due to the lack of the battery's cranking power of the car that you were using to jump start your car (vs. the cranking power of the tow truck's battery).
not sure why you drove it to the dealership afterward, though. isn't the battery considered a wear-and-tear item? if so, they're not under obligation to put in a new battery for you.
again, try replacing the car battery.

The service manager stated the battery is under my warranty if that's the problem and they would replace it, now the service rep who took my car says the battery is good and that it was changed in december.... Really weird im at the dealership now waiting for them to finish

1. try changing the key fob battery.
2. don't put too much weight into what the tow truck guy stated. it's written somewhere in the owner's manual that the battery in the key fobs need replacing after a while, so suggesting that it may NOT be an isolated incident is a bit of a stretch.
you'd be surprised at how many questions can be answered if people actually read through the owner's manual instead of throwing up panic threads. not saying that this thread is, mind you...
