Default Do your Hid's installed in the fog light melt the plastic?

Anyone having issues with the fog light plastic melting because they installed hid's in there?

your probably running 55W when you should be running 35W. 55W is only meant for headlights, too strong for the fog light housing. Hoping that helps

You sir are correct.

I already purchased the 35 watt hid's but was informed that those would melt the plastic, so figured I ask before I get them installed

Already did, I just dont want to melt the plastic, I will probably go ahead and install them and see if I have any issues.

no issues here. ive got a 35 watt ballast and no problems for almost a year. good luck with your install!
