New lexus owner coming from MB... My IS350.
Whats up CL
[3/29/12 updated page. 4]
Here is my 2007 IS350, completely stock w/Navi ...
Ive had my car for about a month now, been lurking here for about three months and finally decided to join.
I must say this car truly lives up to my expectations on a "sport" luxury sedan. Being able to reach 145 easily
145 is not much but coming from a beloved C230 2.5L it is a big step up for me. I promised myself I would do no modding on this car but the classifieds wont let me sleep.
Anyway here she is..
Glad to be part of this forum and looking forward to making this great car an even better one with your help

Get F-sport sway bars (front/rear). Handling improves markedly. Skidpad will improve from .84g's (stock) to a more sports car-like .90g's. It's really a night and day difference on twisty roads.

So I installed my F-sport sway bar a few hours ago and I must say WOW. I fell a big difference at all MPH. This is the FIRST MOD YOU SHOULD DO if you consider moding ( too bad for me it was close to my last mod). Makes a BIG difference. The car feels alot stiffer and more responsive when turining. Now I see what everyone was saying about it was true.
Well I gotta toss my 2 cents in here just because.
Ordered my front/Rear set some time ago from my LOCAL Lexus dealership (who, but the way, price matched certain online vendors when I asked them to..... (Lets hear it for supporting your LOCAL community!))
The rear went on the day I got them, and I ran it like that for over a week. From the luxury package, installing the rear was an instant hit. What bothered me was that with only the rears, I triggered the traction control constantly. This means something was not right, and it annoyed me. Aggressive cornering still buried the outside front (stock) suspension, causing the tighter rear to "lift its leg" and trigger the light.
Felt very unsettling to me to feel the nose dip but the *** lift in a corner.
Anyhow, put the front on, and it definitely made a difference. The awkward pitch is gone, the traction control light has gone away (well, almost), and the car simply "feels" better balanced and less unsettling.
Having experienced just the rear, and then both, I cant imagine running the car with a rear bar only... It would drive me nuts....

Ok, thanks! Got my rear installed and WOW what a difference!! I feel like I can go into turns and nothing gives anymore!! I feel planted in my seat without moving when I turn! So glad I got this! Makes it 10X more fun to drive!
Ohno,
I'm not sure how you cant notice the difference? I have a 350, but I would imagine the same would be felt on a 250.. For me its night and day! I knew the first turn i made at 10 mph that something felt better!!

as many of you who got the f-sport sway bars installed on your IS x50. Today i had mine installed on stock sport suspension IS 350 and i have to say i did notice a significant improvement in body roll. plus i got the f-sport instake and exhaust installed as well.
So overall i enjoy driving my car around town on the back roads testing the handling and the sound of the intake and exhaust.
