For those of you that dont know, Lexus is upping its "factory" powertrain warrenty to 100K miles due to the recent valve spring recall. Well I just found out today that for those of us who paid for a extended warrenty whether through lexus or third party we will be getting a $500 gift card towards parts or service to use at any lexus dealer

Now in my case I paid for a third party extended warrenty (but I bought it at my dealership) there for I had to call Lexus and prove to them I had paid for it. The only catch is you have to decline the free lexus extended warrenty to get the $500. But since I already have a extended warrenty who cares.....right? For those who have a "lexus" extended warrenty you will get you $500 automaticly.

Got the 500gift card but never knew about the 100k extended warranty option... I rather have the extended warranty since mine is up @70k

I bought a refundable extended factory warranty for 70k where as the norm is 50k.

Your talking about the bumper to bumper warrenty. Lexus is increasing the power train only to 100K. There for you have a 70K bumper to bumper and 100K powertrain.

Yea i heard about this. im going to my dealer tonight to drop the car off, so i'll ask them if i qualify. i sure hope sure.

My service advisor is checking on this now. I emailed him to see if my 07 IS350 had to have the recall performed, and it does. I brought up the warranty question also.

I'm going in next Tuesday and he said he'll have an answer about the warranty.

I will let you all know what happens.
