New to the Club- extended warranty question
So i just purchased my first Lexus - 2006 IS 250 with 60k miles. I pick it up tomorrow from lexus. It is certified pre owned so it is covered for three years up to 100,000 miles. The dealer offered me the extended Lexus warranty for 5 years 125,000 miles for an extra 40$ a month - comes to about 2500$ - should I go for it or will it be a waste of money?

That's really a question for yourself - do you plan on keeping it that long? How many miles per year do you drive, and would you exceed the extended period? The older the car, the higher the chance of something breaking, and any major issue would cost the same value as the extended warranty.

Call Toyota of Greenfield & ask for Toby. I bought my warranty through him and saved a ton. The prie you were quoted seems high (very high).
I am very happy I bought the extended warranty.

Toby Rivers and Troy Dietrich both sell cheap warranties.
They do not work at the same dealership.
Toby is in LA if I recall correctly.
A quick search ought to find you contact info for both.
They're usually within 50-100 bucks of each other but I've heard both be cheaper than the other at various times.
