IS250/350 Vs Audi A4 Cab 2.0T quattro...
So i am very up in the air about deciding between a 2007 IS250/350 or a 2007 Audi A4 Cab 2.0T quattro.
Background: My father has always had lexus's. He just got a 2007 LS460L with every option minus the rear massaging seat. I have always loved the power lexus's have given and the joy of when pressing the gas pedal down the torque pushes my back into the seat and raises my adrenaline level.
So now i am faced with deciding between an audi convertible or an IS. Im not too concerned about power. The audi 2.0T gives plenty of it with the little turbo strapped to its 2 liter.
The gas mileage is a main concern of mine while i make this decision. The audi can achieve upwards of 35mpgs on the highway. Im not too sure what the IS models get.
can anyone please give me an average of MPGs that they get on their IS V6 or even 4 cylinder, under normal driving conditions?
I would opt for the IS-C if 1, i had the money for a new car and 2, it wasnt a girl car, lol
Any help, suggestions, information you can give is much appreciated!

if you want to save gas, i would go for is250. because my friend had a 2004 Audi A4 and it kills a good amount of gas for the not so high horsepower it's got. not sure about the latest A4 though, but european cars are more heavy so thus kills more gas than Japanese cars.

A couple major things.
1. FWD A4 vs RWD IS
2. softop A4 vs hardtop IS
For MPG, the IS 250 does a fantastic job vs the A4 with two more cylinders. I much prefer losing 1/2 MPG to gain 2 extra cylinders.
The IS 350 blows out any A4 and hangs with the S4 in acceleration. The IS 350 gets very good MPG for a vehicle with over 300hp. Of course hwy MPG is better than city.
Good luck, the A4 is a good choice as well.

Another thing i think i need to look at is that i live in Minnesnowta. More rainy and wintery days than sunny. But it sure would be nice to soak up the rays with the top down on a convertible!

250 and the 350 gas mileage difference is pretty insignificant...i think only like 1...MAYBE 2 per gallon? so unless the awd is the make or break point i'd get the 350 for the performance when you want it and gas mileage comparable to that of the 250 and A4. personally i hate convertibles soooooooooooooo 350 ftw...

Drive em both. Research the prices and see what you can find. Check out reliability ratings, maintenance and problem histories. Edmunds is a good place to start. If you don't care about any of that stuff, then Lexus ftw!

I live in MN too, I'd came from a S2k so I know a little about convertible and Mn weather as well. The thing I'd hated most about owning a convertible is that it doesn't hold in heat and or cold, like if it's hot out and u turn on the AC or vise versa. Though a ragtop is nice in the Spring time, it'll suck in the summer due to the crazy heat we get. Unless u like charcoal skin then go with the Audi, I love the Is350 with it's moonroof.

I avg about 20-21 mpg in my 07 AWD in mostly suburban driving. I don't think you are really comparing apples to apples though. As Sicklex said, do you want a droptop or a sedan?
