However, the audiophiles out there such as myself will be going for the glove box aftermarket head unit again...I would just hate to tear up that masterpiece of a dash.
I have seen some that have attempted putting an aftermarket radio in the dash on this forum with disappointing results.
For sound quality its about the amp and the speakers. The Head Unit should just be putting out clean preamp signal!! my 2cents
sorry just frustrated

Understood. This unit is great as an improved OEM option of sorts with OE aesthetics.

There's a member that managed to get a kenwood into the factory radio location and it came out pretty clean.

Has anyone with a Gen 2 system tried to hook up the back up camera yet?
My backup camera worked great with my Gen 1 system but it's not working on the Gen 2. It says "TIP: Video Signal not detected."
I even put back in my Gen 1 to make sure it still works and it does. And yes, I do have backup camera "ON" in the settings.
Also, AM radio reception is very bad. A lot worse than what I had in the Gen 1 which was already not as good as OEM. And yes, I had an audio installer make sure all the connections are in place.
