It's really no big deal swapping out the TPMS sensors. As has been said they are in the valve stem. When my wife had her old Camry, she went from a steel wheel to alloys. I went to Discount Tire, a great place to do business with, IMHO. They are America's Tire in California. Anyway, moved the tires and TPMS and balanced the alloys for me for no charge. Just to be sure everything would be OK, I had them mount each TPMS stem in the original corner they were on her car. You don't want or need the dealer for this. Simply a good tire shop. I assume you are buying new tires for your new 18s, why not ask them if they can do it? They should be able to.

Alignment at 9K miles in San Diego, probably not

Definitely eBay, I just bought a set for $104.

I bought a used set of stock 18's that already come with good tires and have valve steam already. Should I just take it out my 17inch set and put in the new 18 inch set? I don't have to buy new tires for my wheels.

Will update pictures later for better understanding.

Take it to a tire shop like discount tire and they will take the old and put it in the new tires. I assume all the sensors are the same no matter the tire size but when you put them in you should be able to reset the system to read your new tires pressure. Also if your worried about them breaking your sensors no biggie cause its their fault and will replace it for free. Here in illinois its usually 25a tire which includes tpms swap/mount/unmount/balance.

25 each? damn that's a grip. I hear someone on here say the dealership on charge $100. Can't understand why they charge that much. I will definitely call Discount tires tommorrow and start asking them.

$100 to what amounts to unmounting and remounting two sets (four rims/tires per set) of rims/tires and transplanting the tpms sensors sounds about right. that is how much i paid - at an independent tire/alignment shop.

No, 4 of my 18's already have tires on them. I just want to put it on my car. It have valve steam also too. I don't have to take my old tires and put on the new rims. I just probably call them tommorrow and ask them.
