Unhappy Please HELP...this is serious...

hello my fellows CL members... I really need help on my situation. Lately I've been having moisture in my front passenger headlight housing, unfortunately last week my low beam turned off completely. However i still have the DRL working and the PARK light. I took it to the dealer and said that the warranty is voided coz i got into an accident last year and they couldn't replace the set...My friend who work as a service tech, tried to swap my bulb to a new bulb, but there's no luck he said it might be the ECU computer (I'm assuming they mean by the BALLAST is not working) They said it will cost me $1000 to fix it, because they dont come in separate parts. I'm hoping that someone here knows where i can get a OEM ballast for the IS...Its very frustrating that i cant get the pieces that i need instead of replacing the whole product itself... thanks for the time reading this..hope to hear some solution..

If you got into an accident and went to the insurers "Prefered Body Shop", you should be able to complain to them or your insurance company.

Not sure if this is still available or if the seller will ship but it's worth a try. Check this out.

ebay.

If it is in fact a ballast error.

However, the moisture in your headlights should definitely be taken care of as well.

Yeah, insurance should cover it. Just get it done by the dealer.

Probably moisture got into your ballast and fried it. Our stock ballast (denso) is not very waterproofed at all. Just get the ballast on ebay that ELL Y posted. But you will have to take the bumper off and take the headlight off, because the OEM ballast is attached to the bottom of the headlight.
