Default Having a little trouble with HIDs

So, I ordered a pair of 6000k H11 and a pair of 6000k 9006 for my IS250. Both the Volt digital HIDs. Shipped in time and no damage or anything.

Installed my headlights fine, few problems on the way and took a little longer than expected but no big deal. Everything is fine, works great and looks great, no problems there.

I go to install the fogs this morning, get them all hooked up and and all the wires connected and what not.

Click. Nothing... Mabey i missed a connection? Nope everything was good after the check. Try again, nothing. Mabey its a faulty kit or the bulbs are bad, or mabey the wrong kit was sent even though they said 9006, so i don't know. But im sure i had those things hooked up correctly so it's not me.

Well, i try calling xenondepot or kbcarstuff, whatever they go by, about 3 times during store hours, no answer. Just getting a little pissed off about it.

So who can i talk to, to help solve this? Because it's going to suck if $120 and hour or 2 of frustration just go down the drain lol, anyways thanks for reading and the help.

Check to see if the positive and negative wires are reversed on the HID kit harness that plugs into the factory harness. I know this is a common issue with some HID kits especially for 9004 and 9006 kits.

Yes this is probably correct. I had to plug in mine reverse for them to work on the GS. Assuming you are not using a relay try this and they should fire up

alright thanks, just bummed something so little would have gotten it to work while i had everything connected and ready to be zip tied up. Gonna have to have another go tomorrow i guess.

looking at the plug that im suppose to switch does anyone know how to get the prongs out? i pulled out the orange rubber things that prevent water but i cant get the actual prongs out to switch them. Do you just have to pull em out or is there something im suppose to do. Im afraid im going to break it haha

you dont have to pull the prongs out i tried that its hard, just invert the connection 180 degrees since the male/female connection can be inserted either way.. I had that problem too.. Good luck

Lmao when I got a kit from XD for my gf's mazda 3 and the connector didnt fit I just bashed it with a hammer into pieces and then took out the prongs and inserted manually. Just used electric tape to cover the prongs and connector.

I don't know why you don't just remove the front bumper. It'll be easier and you can mount the ballast somewhere sturdy and out of way.

Well, update, finally got them in and working. They're super bright and look sick matching the headlights. Took awhile finding a place to strap the ballast but managed. Should get some pics up of em soon after it gets a wash.

Thanks for the help, i was about to think i was going to be $120 down. But i love them. I didnt want to remove the bumper because the plastic clips that hold down the engine covers were removed from doing headlights and now they suck a**, they're loose and any pull on the cover will pop em out. So i just used a floor jack and did one side at a time.
