Fog lights turn off when high beam is on??
I picked up my car from the dealer yesterday for the engine rattle TSB. Everything in the car was reset, which was fine with me. One thing I noticed though is that my fog lights turn off when I switch to high beam. I don't remember it doing that before. Is it suppose to? Is it a setting I can fix?? I have HID fogs and I don't want them to turn on and off whenever I play with the high beam, doing that suppose to kill the life of the HID bulbs. Anyone??

Unless you're driving in for AND outside city limits. Having fogs on when there is no justification is a f***ing annoyance to other drivers. There's a reason (law) you can't have fogs and high beams on at the same time.

Agreed.
Speaking of fogs, has there been a write-up yet on how to get the fogs on without headlights? Fortunately, I've yet to drive in blinding snow here in MD. But during heavy snowstorms back in CO, it helped so much to drive with only fogs and not having headlights (especially HID) reflect all the light back.

you can get aftermarket wiring done to your existing fogs or just install a new set of fogs and have a seperate switch for them.. that way you eliminate your problem. I want to do this because i want my fogs on 24/7 .. but im lazy and its the least of my mod wishes at the moment.

There is a DIY on this board somewhere to do the 'fog on' mod... somewhere... the idea is to have the fogs on with the low beams off NOT fog and hibeam on at the same time (that doesn't make any sense for use in foggy conditions)
