Default Ordered car en route minus HID package

I ordered an IS 350 X package a few months ago for the Southeast which is not a normal build region. The car is en route. I received the spec/build sheet and the HID package which was on the order acknowledgement is not on the spec/build sheet. I don't mind not having the adaptive lights but I want xenon lights. When the car comes in can the dealer take out the regular bulbs, install xenon bulbs and everything be OK? My wording may not be perfect but I hope I explained the situation well enough to get feedback.

I won't accept a car without xenon bulbs, and I won't accept anything that voids the warranty.

Any other ideas? This is not about money although I am sure I will receive a price adjustment. I just want to be happy.

you can just swap in HID bulbs and ballasts, but those are going to be aftermarket, the OEM HID bulbs and ballast wont fit into the non-HID housings.

tell them to make you another car

Happiness in this case would be another car I presume. There is no way to put OEM HIDs into non-HID housings without some voiding of warranty.

Hey they messed it up, let them sort it out.

you're screwed...they are going to have to make another car with the correct options you ordered.

It is probably too late to order an 08 since the 09's are coming out soon. I am OK to wait for an 09 but I will have to wait and see what packages the 09's will have. What a pain in the neck after waiting since mid March. Good thing I didn't sell my other car!

Am I correct HID's are a huge improvement over stock?

Yes HID's are much brighter than halogens. Typically they produce 2-3x more lumens than halogens. If I were you, I'd wait for the '09 if they screw up your order.

That would be a deal breaker for me. Must have option, imo.

Ugghh. Since March. You sorry guy.

People really rave about the HIDs, but I don't think they are a big deal, even after I had my dealer raise them up a bit to bring them into specs. However, I do like the brights, which light up the road pretty good. They just don't want the regular lights blinding other drivers, so it's a bit of the batman cartoon lighting up the road until you put on the high beams.
