Samsung A900 and IS Bluetooth - Incoming Caller ID Not Supported?
Whenever I get a call on my Samsung A900 in my IS, the nav can never display the phone number or the name. Even if I added the number to the nav's phonebook, whether by transferring it from the phone or by entering it manually, it still will say "Not Supported" where its suppose to show the number. I've tried different combinations of entering the number in both my phone and the phonebook such as removing the 1 in the area code and it still won't work. Sometimes I will get a call but it will display my own phone number. Anyone with an A900 having similar problems?

On Lexus' web site it lists the Samsung A900M as not being able to show caller ID over the navi.

( Click [Use/Pair an Existing Phone] )
Now you have an excuse to buy a new phone, or maybe a new car depending on which one you are more in love with.

It doesn't matter how you enter the numbers in to the system with that phone, it will never show anything but your own number when an incoming call happens. However, when you get a text message, it will show the persons name on the screen before it comes up with the message "Call Terminated By Network" Kinda odd, but it gives you an excuse to go out and get an iPhone anyway cause it works perfectly with our bluetooth. Just know that At&t service totally sucks compared to Sprint, so get ready for some dropped calls! lol

Thanks. I can live by looking down at the phone for now. The only hassle is when someone calls and I have to pull my phone out of my pocket while I'm driving just to check the ID. Sometimes I keep the phone in the cupholder.

if the phone number is in th ephone book of the vehicle the name will show up when a call comes in.
if the phone number is not in the car's phon book, the number will show up if the vhicle is stopped.
i believe this is the sme for all phones.

Keep in mind if you didn't do the "nav hack" it doesn't matter which mobile you have it wont show the ID if your driving with the car. Only when stopped.
