Default Good Service Departments in the Bay Area?

This post may or may not get moved. I figured I'd start off here since this is where most of the action is.

Does anyone have a recommendation of good service departments in the bay area? I got my IS350 at Lexus of Concord but thats a haul from San Jose. I am not opposed to taking the car there for service, but has anyone been to Stevens Creek, Magnussens, or Putnam Lexus?

Thanks in advance.

I've been to Magnussen many times and their service is excellent. People are very nice from Concierge, Sales man to service advisors. I even checked thier oil change prices, they're $5 cheaper compared to Stevens Creek. That shows you they won't try to rip off.

I went to Magnussens in Fremont and they were great. I got my free 5k mile service as well as the brake and rear view mirror TSIB's done. I was originally going to goto Stevens Creek, but their lead time before an appointment was at least one week, whereas I got an appointment within 2 days at Magnussens. My friend always took his car to Stevens Creek, but he was unhappy with them so he'll probably goto Magnussens from now on.

I would agree the Magnussen's is the best in the bay. I purchased my IS at Coliseum and they absolutley suck for service and just about everything else. I have been to the dealer in Pleasanton a couple of times but Fremont is still the best for overall customer service. I had the brake TSIB done there last week and the changed my front rotors and calipers as well. I don't know why they did that but I wasn't gonna ask either.

Magnussens, I bought my car there, had a good buying experience, I also purchased the Magnum Shield application for 5 years, aka Class of touch at other dealers, they provide pick up for services at any location, work, home, school etc. they picked up my car from san mateo and gave me a rx350 for a loaner. Byfar a good experience.

do not take your car to STEVENS CREEK LEXUS for service. They are absolutely horrible.

guess I'm going to start going to Magnussen's. I used to go to Coliseum. Now that I moved, it's not as convenient. They are ok, but when I mentioned about the TSIB on the breaks the service personnel acted as if he had no idea on what I was talking about. Has anyone tried Serramonte?

If you live in SF there's no sense driving 50 miles to Fremont just for service, I'd choose Serramonte. If you're somewhere in between you should choose Fremont. I think Fremont has better facility and it's new.

Live in Foster City, half way between. Thanks for the input! I'm going to go to Fremont for TSIB on brakes and audio input. There's a TSIB on vibrating rear view mirror? What is the number for that?-

I think it makes perfect sense to go further. I'd gladly drive extra distance if I was confident in the service department.

Pleasanton is sort of like a circus... crowded cars, crowded customers even at 7:15 am. I complained about the brake dust, they gave me "updated" pads, which took a few more hours. I checked the part number it was the original.. seems to have just as much dust, so I am not sure if I got the new updated pads or not. I would go to fremont next time...
